Cookie Policy

Effective: 22 May 2026 · Published by INFINITYDEV, S.L. · Contact: [email protected]

This Cookie Policy covers strategy-lens.app specifically, as required by the EU ePrivacy Directive. StrategyLens is part of the TrendSurfers product suite published by INFINITYDEV, S.L. — see the master Privacy Policy and Legal Notice at trendsurfers.io for the controller-wide data-processing notice and statutory publisher disclosure (LSSI Art. 10).

In short

  • Two opt-in analytics services — Microsoft Clarity and Azure Application Insights — each with its own on/off toggle.
  • Clarity session replays are strict-masked: every number, statistic, chart, and file name is hidden, so no financial figures are recorded.
  • Application Insights collects only anonymous error, performance, and feature-usage telemetry, and runs cookieless.
  • All uploaded files and computed statistics remain local to your browser unless you explicitly publish via Sharing; nothing financial is transmitted to any third party.
  • The optional Sharing feature uploads only a sanitised copy of parsed trade results to TrendSurfers cloud storage when you explicitly choose to publish.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website (or a third-party loaded by it) stores in your browser to remember information between page views or visits. Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and Article 7 of the GDPR, non-essential cookies may only be set after the visitor has given specific, informed consent.

2. How we use them

StrategyLens uses the smallest possible cookie set:

  • Strictly necessary — to remember your cookie-banner choice. Always on; cannot be refused.
  • Analytics (opt-in)— Microsoft Clarity and Azure Application Insights, used to understand which parts of the app are confusing or under-used and to catch errors and performance issues. Off by default; each loads only after you click "Accept all" or enable its toggle in "Manage preferences". Clarity session replays are strict-masked and Application Insights runs cookieless.

StrategyLens does not use marketing, advertising, social-media, or fingerprinting cookies. All parsing and computation of your backtest reports stays in your browser; no trade data is sent to our servers except for `.tspa` decryption and large CSV parsing (see Terms of Use § 2).

3. Strictly necessary

One first-party cookie, set by the consent banner itself.

4. Analytics — Microsoft Clarity & Azure Application Insights

Microsoft Clarity is a behavioural-analytics service operated by Microsoft Corporation. It records anonymised heatmaps and session replays of how visitors interact with the app (mouse movement, clicks, scrolls). We use these to find usability problems and to prioritise UI improvements. Microsoft acts as a processor; the data-protection terms are governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement and the Clarity cookie documentation.

StrategyLens runs Clarity in strict-masked mode and additionally marks the entire application view as masked, so every number, statistic, chart, and file name is hidden in recordings. Masked content is never uploaded to Microsoft.

Microsoft is a U.S.-based company; the Clarity service may transfer data outside the European Economic Area. The transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses Microsoft has in place with its sub-processors.

We also use Azure Application Insights (Microsoft Corporation) under the same opt-in analytics category to capture anonymous error reports, performance (Web Vitals), and feature-usage events. It runs cookieless and sets no cookies. No trade data, backtest results, or financial figures are transmitted.

5. Manage your preferences

You can revisit your cookie decision at any time. The button below opens the same preferences dialog shown by the cookie banner.

6. Withdrawing consent

If you previously accepted analytics and now wish to withdraw, click Manage cookie preferences above and toggle Analytics off, then Save my choices. The consent banner will also delete the Clarity cookies (`_clck`, `_clsk`, `MR`, `SRM_B`, `ANONCHK`, `SM`, `CLID`, `MUID`) from your browser when you withdraw. Azure Application Insights sets no cookies, so there is nothing to delete for it.

7. Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal, technical, or operational reasons. The "Effective" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
